On October 13, 2024, the North Westside Communities Association (NWCA) successfully hosted an All-Candidates Forum for the West Kelowna-Peachland riding at Killiney Beach Community Hall. This crucial event provided local residents with an opportunity to hear directly from their candidates ahead of the upcoming provincial election.
Sound Camel proudly contributed to the event by delivering professional live audio services, including tabletop microphones to ensure clear, balanced audio for both the audience and the recording. Additionally, we captured high-quality video footage of the discussion and provided a polished recording within just 12 hours of the event—enabling the NWCA to share the forum quickly with a broader audience via news publications.
About the Forum
The NWCA brought together all three candidates running in the West Kelowna-Peachland riding:
Macklin McCall – Conservative
Stephen Johnston – Independent
Krystal Smith – NDP
The forum addressed pressing rural issues with a particular focus on the concerns of North Westside communities within the Regional District of Central Okanagan, Area West. Community members submitted their questions in advance and the NWCA compiled a balanced selection of questions. Half of the questions were provided to candidates before the event, while the rest were drawn from live audience submissions and additional NWCA selections.
Moderated by NWCA President Joshua Galloway and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, the forum fostered an engaging and transparent dialogue.
NWCA Statement
“The NWCA is thrilled to have hosted such a successful forum. We extend our thanks to all the candidates for their participation and thoughtful responses. It’s incredibly valuable when candidates take the time to engage with the more remote areas of their ridings.”
— NWCA President Joshua Galloway
